HydroGuard is built by three students at TUM. We are heading to the COSIMA final at electronica in Munich on 12 and 13 November 2026, and we would like to name the people who helped us get there.
What sponsors get.
Your name and logo on the stand and on the poster we present at electronica, on this website, and in the build notes for anything you helped us build.
What helps most is not always money. Components, PCB manufacturing, assembly, enclosure work, measurement equipment on loan and time from an engineer who knows the part we are wrestling with have all moved this project forward.
Who has helped so far.
The first prototype was manufactured and assembled by JLCPCB. The boards came back exactly as drawn and both assembled units worked, which is not something a team having its first four-layer board made can take for granted.
What we are working on.
The first prototype measures bioimpedance at the upper arm and has been tested on the bench and on a person. The second one shrinks that to roughly 30 × 21 mm so it can be worn all day. Both are documented in the build notes, including the parts that did not work first time.
